Sue Colman is an author and illustrator whose debut children’s book, A Special Journey, captures the beauty of the countryside and weaves a heartfelt tale of love and friendship. Born and raised on a farm in South Africa, Sue has always enjoyed art and storytelling. An exhibition by Australian cartoonist, Michael Leunig, gave Sue the inspiration to begin creating meaningful illustrations that convey positive or thought provoking messages. Her work, using the fluid and atmospheric medium of watercolours, reflects her love for nature and her deep desire to connect with both children and adults through themes of hope, love and life.

Sue lives in a small village, surrounded by unspoiled countryside, which serves as a backdrop for her creative work.
